Gratification is the pleasurable emotional reaction of happiness in response to a fulfillment of a desire or goal. Gratification, like all emotions, is a motivator of behavior and thus plays a role in the entire range of human social systems. The skill of giving preference to long term goals over more immediate ones is known as deferred gratification or patience, and it is usually considered a virtue. Men have traditionally had a higher sex drive than women, it enabled them to procreate when the other woman was pregnant, It's only been in the last hundred or so years that men were expected to remain faithful to one women all his life. So if you want a man to be able to remain faithful and you're unable to fulfill his needs all the time than, you'll have to accept his need to masturbate to take care of those needs. If a woman is unable to accept that than she's more likely to have a husband who cheats to get the relief that he needs.
